Understanding Airdrop on Mac
Airdrop is a convenient feature on Mac that allows you to wirelessly transfer files between Apple devices. When you receive a file via Airdrop, it typically goes to your Downloads folder. However, the actual location may vary depending on your settings.
Locating Airdropped Files
1. Check your Downloads folder first. Most of the time, Airdropped files will land here automatically.
2. If you can’t find the file in Downloads, try searching for it using Spotlight by pressing Command + Space and typing the file name.
3. Alternatively, you can open Finder and navigate to the AirDrop section in the sidebar to see if the file is there.
Customizing Airdrop Destination
You can change the default download location for Airdropped files by going to Finder > Preferences > Sidebar and checking the box next to AirDrop. This will make the AirDrop folder visible in the Finder sidebar, allowing you to easily access your transferred files.
By understanding how Airdrop works and knowing where to look for your files, you can streamline your file management process on your Mac.
