The Process of Exhalation
In the process of respiration, when we exhale, we release air that contains carbon dioxide. The weight of the air we exhale is actually slightly less than the weight of the air we inhale. This is due to the fact that during the process of respiration, our bodies extract oxygen from the inhaled air and release carbon dioxide as a waste product. The carbon dioxide molecules are lighter than the oxygen molecules, which results in a slightly lower weight of exhaled air compared to inhaled air. This phenomenon is a fundamental aspect of the respiratory system in biology.
